1935
Imao Foundry was founded by our first president, Nobuichi Imao at Naka-Higashinaka, Kakamigahara, Gifu.
1961
Imao Manufacturing Company Ltd. was established with a capital of 1.5million yen to take over the business of Imao Foundry.
1967
Imao Manufacturing Company began to manufacture and sell handwheels, handles, and other standard machine elements.
1974
Imao Manufacturing Company began to import and resell products manufactured by Heinrich Kipp Werk in Germany.
1976
Imao Manufacturing Company built its Mino Plant at Suhara, Mino, Gifu.
1982
Imao Manufacturing Company relocated its head office to Senbiki, Seki, Gifu.
1983
Imao Manufacturing Company began to manufacture and sell a modular fixturing system.
1986
Imao Manufacturing Company began reselling AutoCAD systems and launching software development to enter into the information business, and also importing products from item Industrietechnik und Maschinenbau GmbH in Germany.
1989
Imao Manufacturing Company introduced CI (Corporate Identity) and changed its name to Imao Corporation.
1991
Imao Corporation constructed an office building named “i-TECH CENTER” in the head-office site.
1994
Imao Corporation began to import lifestyle products.
1998
Imao Corporation was certified ISO9001, and constructed a new office building named “infomax center” at Sue, Kakamigahara, Gifu.
2001
Imao Corporation was certified ISO14001, and built a second plant at Suga, Mino, Gifu.
2004
Imao Corporation began to manufacture and sell One-Touch Clamps.
2006
One-Touch Clamps won a Good Design award.
2012
Imao Corporation began to manufacture and sell One-Touch Fasteners.
2013
Imao Corporation changed the name of domestic branches and sales offices to Technical Center.
2014
Imao Corporation opened a representative office at Shanghai, China.
